H, K and Silver are online-only, single-use, no in/out and no overnight. Listed security is 5 PM–midnight. Prices and availability can change.

Road and bridge plan
  • I-64 Sherman Minton Bridge is toll-free; let live navigation choose the Expo approach.
  • I-65 Kennedy/Lincoln and Lewis and Clark bridges cost $2.79 with prepaid transponder or $5.57 standard per crossing from July 1.
  • I-65 is limited to two lanes each direction between I-264 and downtown.
  • Grade Lane is closed from Melton Avenue to Crittenden Drive through December 31 and may affect Gate 6 approaches.
  • Saturday’s Bourbon & Beyond 5K starts at 8 AM on KEC/Kentucky Kingdom grounds.
Taxi and rideshare
  • Uber and Lyft use the Cardinal-side Rideshare Lot; exact lot letter and hours are unpublished.
  • zTrip uses a staffed first-taxi-out system with fixed rates and no surge.
  • Allow 30–90 minutes after a headliner for matching, approach and loading.
  • Remain in the staffed pickup area; do not wait on active roads or ramps.
Pegasus shuttle
  • $175 online-only four-day pass for one person; no onsite sales.
  • Advertised every 15–25 minutes, 10:30 AM–midnight; ADA accessible; peak waits can be longer.
  • Official pages disagree on exact KICC and KEC pickup sides. Follow the pass email and confirm at 502-458-1862.
TARC reality check
  • The festival’s Park & TARC directions name “#2,” but TARC’s August network no longer lists regular Route 2.
  • Do not rely on Park & TARC until the special route, price and last return are reconfirmed.
  • Regular Route 71 runs roughly hourly; the current last downtown departure to New Albany is 9:05 PM—too early for the recommended headliners.
  • Standard fare is $2.25. Use regular transit only when leaving early or combining it with a taxi home.
Accessible parking, walking and bikes
  • Accessible parking: Lot B via Gate 1, first-come; valid placard/permit or plate and proof it belongs to the attendee.
  • Expect long distances and mixed terrain; exact accessible-parking price and hours are unpublished.
  • Nearby lodging can walk via Gates 1, 4 or 6.
  • Free bike racks are listed at Gate 1, southeast H Lot and Gate 6 booths; no valet or lock service is promised.
Parking rules
  • No overnight parking; remaining vehicles may be towed. Tow/security: 502-367-5360.
  • Leaving during the show loses the original general-parking space and requires payment again.
  • The KEC annual pass is blacked out; RVs cannot use General or Premium lots.
  • Tailgating is not confirmed—do not assume it is permitted.

Use Mint as a movement advantage

Excellent for main-stage proximity, shade and restrooms—not crowd-free luxury.

Mint materially improves main-stage proximity, shade, restroom quality and onsite convenience. It remains a large-festival standing experience—not reserved seating, private hospitality or a crowd-free zone.

Official 2026

Entry

Dedicated festival entry lanes and a commemorative laminate. Exact lane, gate and opening time remain TBD; normal security still applies.

Main-stage viewing

Front viewing areas for Oak and Barrel. This is access—not an assigned seat, reserved position or guaranteed rail spot.

Rest and watch

Shaded lounge with comfortable seating and live main-stage audio/video, plus outdoor seating with main-stage views.

Comfort

Air-conditioned flushable restrooms and a dedicated festival merchandise booth.

Food, drinks and lockers

Premium food, dedicated full-beverage bars and locker/charging rental are available for additional purchase.

What Mint does not include

  • No complimentary food or alcohol.
  • The lounge is advertised as shaded, not air-conditioned; the restrooms are air-conditioned.
  • No parking or transportation.
  • No ordinary festival re-entry.
  • No special viewing at 100 Proof, Revival or Bluegrass stages.
  • No chairs inside Mint, even with a Lawn Chair Pass.
Expected—not guaranteed

Three-story viewing deck

A 2026 DWP-donated package specifically lists access to the three-story Mint VIP Viewing Deck with elevated, shaded main-stage views. The core public pass terms promise shaded lounge/outdoor seating but do not name that exact structure. Treat the deck as expected—never as a guaranteed seat.

Locker + charging

About 8 × 12 × 18 inches. Universal phone charging. Single-day or four-day rentals; only four-day renters may leave items overnight. Reserve ahead or rent onsite, subject to availability and extra cost.

Chair plan

Skip the chair for this Mint-centered itinerary. Chairs are prohibited inside Mint even with a Lawn Chair Pass; pass use is limited to designated GA chair areas.

Headliner move

On arrival, locate every Mint viewing-area exit, the deck/lounge, water, restrooms and locker. Before a major set, choose front for intensity or edge/rear/deck for easier movement. Avoid the densest central flow during five-minute Oak/Barrel handoffs.

Past attendee report

What attendees liked

  • Close main-stage views and easier access than GA.
  • Shade, turf and air-conditioned restrooms can materially improve a hot, long day.
  • Entry, restroom and concession lines are often reported as shorter.
  • The 2025 expansion/deck drew favorable reports from many attendees.
Past attendee report

What to guard against

  • Unassigned shaded seats and tables can fill soon after gates open.
  • Headliner changeovers can create opposing crowd flows at pit exits.
  • Lounge chatter can reduce the usefulness of the live audio feed.
  • Reports vary by day and act: spacious early can become packed late.

Past-attendee reports are anecdotal. 2026 seating, crowding, deck operations and exit flow may differ.

2025 reference

2026 vendor boundary

The official experiences page still labels its roster as 2025 Food Vendors while 2026 applications remain open. No confirmed 2026 menus, locations, prices, dietary tags or allergen matrix are published.

Mint VIP is not all-inclusive

Every premium-food, bar and locker purchase costs extra. Complimentary food and alcohol belong to Angel’s Envy Beyond VIP—not Mint.

Confirmed options

  • Kentucky Kingdom has select concessions and air-conditioned indoor dining; rides operate 2–9 PM and the Giant Wheel to 10 PM.
  • Fork & Flask cooking demonstrations are included with admission.
  • Sargento announces complimentary grilled-cheese samples at its Cheese Wheeler.
  • Mint premium food is convenient but costs extra; its menu/prices are unpublished.
  • Mint does not provide re-entry, so leaving to eat and returning is not permitted.

Bring / do not bring

  • Outside food is prohibited unless medically necessary and pre-arranged.
  • Allowed: one sealed water bottle, 20 oz maximum, or one empty plastic refillable bottle.
  • Metal/glass bottles, hydration packs, coolers and picnic baskets are prohibited.
  • Free Louisville Water refill stations are confirmed.

Dietary and allergen limit

No vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, kosher, halal, cross-contact or allergen guarantees are published. For medically necessary food, contact festival accessibility before the event.
